30A - Final Reflection
- I can recall back to when I first decided upon Paradiso. A simple idea meant to help people in need. However I soon learned I'd have to get very in depth with this business, and I'm glad I was pushed to do so. I can remember the first time I did the elevator pitch, I worked very very hard on it. As I turned it in, I realized I was not standing up in the video, making it worthless, so I had to re-shoot!
- My most formative moment is probably when I spoke with people about my project for various assignments. When I was forced to go out and show people my project, it made me feel nice being told it was a good idea and one that had meaning. I was proud of myself in this moment for putting the work in and making something.
- I honestly do see myself as an Entrepreneur. I take closer attention to businesses out in the real world, and I pay close attention as to why they do certain things. Whether it's to reap a benefit, or to counter a problem. I have definitely changed my mindset and I understand how to see problems in a firm and how to handle them.
- My biggest recommendation would be to make sure you care about entrepreneurship. This is not a field to get into for the money, and one that you need to truly care about. Also, it's a very hard work (never give up) romanticized field. One where you can't stop to breathe, you need to be innovating all the time. For this course, I recommend they get into a groove of doing their assignments on time and making the most of the course.
Zach, I think that you have a good understanding about what being an entrepreneur really is because like you said it must be something that you are passionate about and not something you should do just to earn a profit. I know that there is much that I have learned from this class and it sounds like you have as well.
ReplyDeleteZach, I'm very inspired by your spirit for this and your willingness to do things the right way, shown by your example of reshooting the elevator pitch just because you weren't standing up. And it's great that you recognize that this is a field where you need to be innovating all of the time.

ReplyDeleteOverall i wanna say that i have really enjoyed following your business venture from the beginning to now. I agree with you. I'm glad i was pushed to complete this class and my business venture. It was a new learning experience and also definitely a unique class. Overall i believe you did a great job and i wish you luck on future classes.

ReplyDeleteIt really seems that you enjoyed this semester and I think that you really got some great information over the given assignments and tasks we had to do throughout the semester. I agree with you that in being an entrepreneur, you really have to want to do what you set out to do or else you will get very worn out and overall the idea won't work out. Overall, good job.
